In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

"Allah does not forbid you to deal justly and kindly with those (unbelievers)

who do not fight you on account of your faith nor drove you out of your homelands.

Verily Allah loves those who deal with full equity

God only forbids you to turn in friendship towards those who fight against you because of (your) faith,

and drive you forth from your homelands, or help (others) in driving you forth;

and as for those (from among you) who turn towards them in friendship,

it is they, they are truly the wrongdoers"

(Quran 60:8-9)

NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

Muslim Jumma Prayer on Capitol Hill: On September 25th, nearly 30,000 Muslims - mostly from the East Coast - gathered in Washington DC by the Capitol Building for Friday Prayer. "This is by far the most peaceful and orderly group we have ever seen here" stated many of the security personal in sharp contrast to the uproar by the "Republican Tea Party" just a week earlier. Muslims prayed for Peace and Unity in light of recent political divisions sweeping across our nation. A small group of misguided Christians with hatful signs and loud speakers attempted to disrupt the peaceful gathering had to tone it down seeing the Muslim reaction refusing to engage in hate, instead, Muslims prayed for them as well. MuslimDay in Honolulu: We congratulate the Muslim Community in Hawaii for passing a State Resolution to recognize the contribution of Muslims and establish Sep. 24th as a MuslimDay in Hawaii. It was a wonderful gathering held in the largest Beach Park just off Waikiki, where the entire State was invited to celebrate with the Muslim Community in their celebration. The entire community joined with the local Muslims to offer canned food as contributions to the poor regardless of religious affiliation. The festival included bridge building forum by the interfaith community, many of the local politicians took part in the event, certainly enjoyed the festivity and Islamic culture. Islamic music and performing Muslim comedians were a big hit! MuslimDayOnCapitolHill.org hopes to establish similar events in every State Capitol in the coming years. Rehabilitating a City Mayor: After calling each and every city council member in Clarksville, TN, we learned no actions whatsoever were taken to discipline its mayor who attempted to smear the Muslim community in dirty political game days before Sep. 11 anniversary. Muslim Bridges called for the Mayor to be fired (see original story here) but shocked that 30 days have passed without any actions or reference on any of the city meeting records. Here is a listing of cell and home phone numbers for city council members; we encourage our friends and volunteers to take part in making polite but firm calls, requesting "Zero Tolerance" for bigotry and political lies, at the very least, a formal reference should be noted on city meeting records as to council position against dirty politics by its mayor, and assurance ... never again will Muslims be entangled in political games by any city representatives.

LEARNING BRIDGE

The Muslim Village: Inspired by Maulana Imran Hosein of Trinidad, filmed by MuslimChannels.tv on October 3rd, 2009. Proposed plan to purchase 2,000 Acres as a Muslim Village model for 500 families, potentially replicated to form clusters of villages placed anywhere in the world - in the country side, or in the outskirts of cities.

In the Muslim Village, Allah's obedience will be observed, Muslims would live following the teaching of Islam, provide an environment that promotes self sufficiency, and substitute paper currency with a return to currency which has intrinsic value within the currency itself (such as Gold, silver, or other commodities).

The concept of Muslim Village is in response to a world environment where Riba (interest) has spread and touched almost everyone. Possibly a logical answer to the changing moral conduct ... what was inappropriate yesterday is becoming acceptable today! The Muslim Village is also a protection from the Dajal (Anti-Christ) as it is prophesized he would influence everyone in every city and town ... where villages fair better chances for being spared.
